The North Central Iowa STEM Region is a collaborative effort with Iowa State University. The North Central Region is able to use the strengths from the institution to help expand STEM into the communities served in North Central Iowa.

Paul Gibbins

About Paul Gibbins, M.L.A.

Paul Gibbins is the North Central Regional STEM Manager for the Governor’s STEM Advisory Council and located at Iowa State University. After graduating from the University of Iowa with a B.A. in mathematics and from Baker University with an M.L.A. in education, Paul worked for 19 years as a high school mathematics teacher, 12 of which were in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. During that time, he took on adjunct professor roles for mathematics at Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, Kansas, and then at Central College in Pella, Iowa, where he also served as the college’s assistant director of the Upward Bound Math and Science program. Before his role as a regional STEM manager, Paul worked as a high school mathematics teacher at Ankeny High School.
