The Governor's 2018 Future Ready Iowa Summit was hosted by Future Ready Iowa and the Iowa Governor's STEM Advisory Council. This event brought together leaders from business and industry, education, nonprofits, elected officials, students and others to amplify the public conversation about transforming education and the workforce with a focus on expanding work-based learning and computer science instruction.
The general session featured 23 different speakers and 18 exhibits offered engaging and hands-on activities demonstrating a school+business partnership as part of the "Showcase of Work-Based Learning." In the afternoon, attendees had the option to attend one of eleven breakout sessions focused on work-based learning.
